LEVEL #4 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
How do I select iPOD as a source on my factory Radio?
You can access your iPOD by pressing the CD/AUX or AUX/XM button two times. This will allow your radio to go into iPOD mode. At this point your radio will say "CD06 TRK-x" on the radio display. This display confirms that the iPOD mode has been completely synchronized and activated. Synchronization timing varies according to the number of Playlists on your iPOD. It is important to trust us on this, your radio will not go into this mode without this adapter installed on it. None of your factory features will be disabled on this, everything will still work the same. Including the factory in-dash CD play/changer (if you have one), it will still work perfect. No matter what anyone says.
If your iPOD was playing previously before your radio or ACC power was off, and the iPOD was not disconnected, playback resumes from where it was stopped.
Can I still use the Buttons/Click Wheel on my iPOD with this interface?
Direct Mode: Yes, your iPOD controls will not be locked out at all. You will be able to use your iPOD like you normally would as well as be able to change the tracks from your radio/steering wheel controls.
Hybrid Mode: You will have full control from most iPOD's** and radio controls. **The new iPOD Touch***, iPHONE***, 6th GEN Classic (80/160GB) and the new G3 Nano Video (4/8GB) will be LOCKED out from iPOD control while connected.
***iPHONE & iPOD TOUCH owners can unlock the Music Section of their iPOD by Pressing and Holding the center button on the device. If you press and hold it for about 10 seconds (while the screen is locked out) it will let you use the controls in the music section. After you do this, you will not be able to control it from the radio until you disconnect your iTOUCH or iPHONE and reconnect it to the iPOD connector.
What will it say on my Factory Radio while its Playing?
Your factory radio will display CD06 TRK-X (X is the track number of the "now playing" song on your iPOD). This interface does not send any information from the iPod to the radio. This means that the DISC and TRACK numbers shown on the display will not and can not reflect the song number on the iPod due to the complex nature of the music library. Some factory radio’s may flash zero’s on the display of the radio, or toggle back and forth between Tracks "1" and "2". All these are normal behaviors and do not represent a malfunction.
How do I select a playlist from my factory radio?
To select a playlist press DISC UP or DISC DOWN* on your factory car stereo while in iPOD mode. The selected playlist will begin playing and the playlist number and track number will be displayed on your factory radio. After playing the last song in the current playlist, playback will start again from the first track of the next playlist. You will be able to access a total of 5 playlists (5 Custom playlists -explained below) and your AUX input. If you decide not to turn on your AUX input, then you can access 6 playlists from your factory stereo.
*Your factory 6-Disc CD radio will still work just like it does now. This interface creates a new iPOD input and works without interfering the factory in-dash cd changer. We get asked this alot, and I can guarantee you that it works great with the In-Dash CD Changer on the car listed above.
What is Custom playlist?
While in Hybrid Mode this interface scans for all available playlists on your iPOD and looks for designated (custom) Honda playlists which are created for direct access with DISC buttons on your factory radio. The designated HONDA playlists are related to DISC number in the following manner:
DISC 1: HONDA1... DISC2: HONDA2... DISC3: HONDA3... DISC4: HONDA4... DISC5: HONDA5... DISC6: ALL SONGS ON iPOD (This is available if you decide not to use the AUX input)The naming of the designated Honda Playlists in iTUNES for this interface must be exactly as shown. HONDA must be in capital letters and there can be no spaces between HONDA text and number (ex. HONDA1..)
However you may add any text after the correct naming of the playlist. For example, you can put HONDA1-Jazz.
If no playlists are created this interface automatically relates to the first 5 available playlists on your iPOD to disc #1 thru 5 regardless of playlist naming.

What functions can I control thru my factory radio?
You will be able to control the following functions of your iPOD thru your factory radio.
SCAN RANDOM (SHUFFLE) REPEAT TRACK UP / DOWN FAST TRACK (x10) FAST FORWARD / FAST REVERSE PLAY DIRECT PLAYLIST ACCESS
Will my Factory Steering Wheel Remote control the iPOD too?
If your vehicle’s steering wheel controls have the ability to select track and control the forward and rewind functions of your factory CD changer, then they will also control these same functions on the iPod.
How do I select and operate the AUX input function of this interface?
If you want to be able to use your AUX input make sure and set DIP SWITCH on the side of this interface must be set to the "OFF" position (Factory presets it at the "ON" position). Simply plug your RCA's into the input jack labeled AUX INPUT on the adapter.
To access your the AUX INPUT, select iPOD source on your radio (Pressing the CD/AUX or XM/AUX button). After doing so go to DISC 6 TRACK 1 (Using the DISC UP/DOWN buttons). This will allow you to access the AUX INPUT and you will start to hear sounds from anything you have connected to the AUX input.
